Quincy Magoo est milliardaire philanthrope et myope comme une taupe. Quand un rubis d'une valeur inestimable est dérobé dans son musée, il est soupçonné par le FBI. Il retrouve la pierre accidentellement, ce qui lui vaut d'être poursuivi à la fois par la police et par les vrais voleurs, Luanne Leseur et Bob Morgan.
